WHAT:
In celebration of Friendly’s Co-Founder, Prestley Blake’s 100th birthday, Friendly’s is offering five-cent ice cream cones on Friday, November 28th from 2:00pm to close at several of its Springfield-area restaurants.  Prestley Blake, and younger brother Curtis Blake, opened their first “Friendly” neighborhood ice cream shop in 1935 and offered customers double-dip cones for five cents. The brothers named the business “Friendly” with the intent of creating a warm, caring and family environment. The iconic brand now offers homemade ice cream, signature sandwiches and burgers at over 300 Friendly’s locations, while still maintaining its family-friendly values. After a long day of Black Friday shopping, enjoy a classic single scoop ice cream cone in honor of the man who started it all.

Friendly’s locations in Agawam, Chicopee, East Longmeadow, Greenfield, Holyoke, Ludlow, Springfield (Boston Road location), South Hadley and Westfield (Southampton Road and Westfield Shops)
